Antioxidants and Environmental Stress
Sun, pollution and stress generate free radicals. Antioxidants are skincare's quiet defence system.

Every day, skin faces a low-level assault: UV, urban pollution, blue light, even our own metabolism. These stressors generate unstable molecules called free radicals, which can damage lipids, proteins and DNA in skin over time.
The visible result of that damage accumulates slowly — a loss of elasticity, uneven tone, deeper-looking lines. It is not dramatic from one day to the next, which is exactly why daily defence matters.
How antioxidants help
Antioxidants donate electrons to free radicals, neutralising them before they can do harm. Vitamin C, vitamin E, green tea polyphenols and ferulic acid are among the most studied — and they work especially well together.
- Use an antioxidant layer every morning, not just in summer.
- Antioxidants complement — never replace — SPF.
- Consistency beats concentration: daily use matters most.
